- Bob worked for IHOP early in his career rising to the Vice President level. He left the company to work with IHOP’s first Area Developer, leading the predecessor company to Sunshine Restaurant Partners, FMS Management Systems. Under his leadership, nearly 150 IHOP Restaurants were built in Florida and southern Georgia. For nearly his entire franchise career Bob served on the IHOP Board of Advisors. Bob enjoyed this role because he had an exceptional ability to strengthen the relationship between franchisee and franchisor. He knew this bond made IHOP better, and his love of IHOP drove him to help make IHOP stronger at every opportunity. After retiring two years ago, Bob continued to have involvement with the company by serving on the Board of Directors of Argonne Capital, the parent company of Sunshine Restaurant Partners and ACG Texas. Not surprisingly, Bob’s involvement with IHOP continued until his passing. Bob assisted in the transaction where another affiliate of Argonne Capital, Peak Restaurant Partners acquired 40 IHOP locations in the western U.S., and yet another Argonne affiliate, Neighborhood Restaurant Partners, acquired the Applebee’s in San Antonio, Texas.
